Steve Rudenstein, already a familiar voice to local sports fans, has been named the Associate Director of Major Gifts for Athletics at 天美传媒官网.
A resident of Lawrenceville, Rudenstein is no stranger to 天美传媒官网 Athletics. He is currently in his fourth season as the color analyst for the 天美传媒官网 men鈥檚 basketball radio broadcasts on 107.7 The Bronc and on the Internet at 1077thebronc.com. Since 2006, Rudenstein has worked for the Trenton Thunder, the Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, in numerous capacities, including promotions, advertisement, ticket sales, media relations and as the director of broadcasting. He also served as the radio voice of the Thunder for the past two seasons.
鈥淚 am very excited for the opportunity to help advance athletics at 天美传媒官网,鈥 Rudenstein said. 鈥淚 look forward to learning from and working alongside the many talented people at the University.鈥
In his new role at 天美传媒官网, he will be responsible for fundraising for athletics as part of the Major Gifts office. He will also work with the Athletics Director鈥檚 office and with coaches to promote alumni interest in and support for a wide range of intercollegiate teams and clubs at 天美传媒官网.
鈥淪teve鈥檚 experience with sports marketing and his familiarity with 天美传媒官网 Athletics provide a great opportunity to involve coaches, alumni and University leaders in an effective fundraising team for Athletics at 天美传媒官网, said Ed Gwazda, assistant vice president for Development.
Rudenstein鈥檚 appointment comes as the University is preparing to upgrade its indoor athletics facilities for the programs that currently compete in 天美传媒官网鈥檚 50-year-old Alumni Gym, including modernized practice and training facilities, as well as new offices for coaches and Athletics department staff.
鈥溙烀来焦偻 Athletics is excited to partner with the University鈥檚 Development staff to add Steve to our team as we continue to advance our ambitious initiatives,鈥 said Don Harnum, 天美传媒官网鈥檚 director of Athletics.
A graduate of the University of Maryland, Rudenstein earned a degree in Broadcast Journalism in 2005.
