Daniel Druckenbrod will work to improve human, animal and environmental health within New Jersey
Dr. Daniel Druckenbrod, incoming chair of 天美传媒官网鈥檚 Department of Natural and Health Sciences, has joined the NJ One Health Task Force. The Task Force, housed in the NJ Department of Agriculture, brings together state partners from the NJ Departments of Health and Environmental Protection, as well as physicians, veterinarians, public health experts and other scientists to provide guidance on emerging health issues, streamline communication across state agencies and develop strategic plans that will improve public, animal and environmental health within New Jersey.
Druckenbrod鈥檚 expertise in environmental science and research on how forests and their environments change over decades and centuries uniquely qualifies him for this role.
鈥淲ithin this Task Force, I hope to join the Education, Training, and Workforce Development committee to help shape educational opportunities in this area across the state,鈥 says Druckenbrod. 鈥淚 also hope that my involvement will help inform the continued growth of 天美传媒官网 programs such as health sciences, biology and environmental sciences.鈥
One Health recognizes that human, animal, plant and environmental health are interconnected and interdependent. The New Jersey One Health Task Force was legislatively established in June 2021 to establish and guide interdisciplinary health initiatives in the state.
