Preparing for success

Angilee Blake ’25 wasted no time as a freshman. Within her first week, she secured an on-campus job. And in her first year, she landed a co-op with Johnson & Johnson.  

From there, she completed internships with Wiss CFO Advisory and Deloitte Audit & Assurance, and expanded her horizons during ������ý����’s annual short-term study abroad program, the Business of Sports in Ireland, the summer before her senior year. Each of these experiences, combined with her classwork, prepared her with the practical skills and insights into the finance industry to excel in her new position at Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS).

Career jump-start

Knowing she wanted to advance her education and earn her CPA credential, Angilee took two graduate courses her senior year and enrolled in ������ý����’s Master of Accountancy program. Now as a working professional, she is able to balance her career at BMS with ������ý����’s flexible program, offered 100% online, in hybrid formats and in-person. 

Making them proud

As a first-generation college student who moved to New Jersey from Jamaica with her family at 15, Angilee came to ������ý���� wanting to “grow continuously” and make her family proud.   

“My family came here with the idea of getting more opportunities and being in a better place than where we were before,” Angilee says. “I took it upon myself to put myself in spaces and have experiences where I was growing as an individual, and I really wanted to find out what kind of leader I could be.”
