Students in the Department of Media Arts have multiple opportunities to grow as creative professionals through the various co-curricular activities offered by our department. Students interested in working on independent films are encouraged to pitch ideas to faculty who will work alongside them to help support their vision. Additional opportunities include:
- Alternative Film Club: screen and discuss films of multiple genres with a community of fellow students with a love for film.
- Cranberry Film Collective: 天美传媒官网鈥檚 premier student-run, professional film production unit. Explore your creativity and collaborate with others to make your dream film project come to life.
- 天美传媒官网 E-Sports Club: 天美传媒官网鈥檚 E-Sports Club is where gaming and athletics meet. In this club, which is part of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), participants form teams across multiple video games to practice and compete against schools across the country.
- 天美传媒官网 ESPN production truck: engage your passion by working in 天美传媒官网鈥檚 ESPN production truck that gives students hands-on experience contributing to live ESPN broadcasts of 天美传媒官网 Athletics games. For more information about how to get involved, contact Shawn Kildea, skildea@rider.edu.
- 天美传媒官网 Pep Band: this completely student-run organization will give you the chance to engage in your love of music with opportunities to perform at campus-wide events, 天美传媒官网 Division I sports games and travel tournaments.
- 天美传媒官网 Pop, Rock and Hip-Hop Ensemble: develop as an artist and musician while gaining valuable rehearsal and performance experience by joining this contemporary ensemble. You鈥檒l also have access to professional equipment including instruments, production facilities, performance and rehearsal spaces, and more.
- 天美传媒官网 Network (R.U.N.): join this student-run production service that produces a weekly news magazine program. R.U.N. participants write, produce and direct programs distributed over 天美传媒官网's campus-wide cable system.
