Who is considered a transfer student?

A transfer student is a student under the age of 25 who has attempted and/or completed at least 12 college level credits following their high school graduation and prior to their enrollment at ������ý����. This includes coursework that may be currently in progress. Note: Students who are 25 or over, including veterans and active duty military, or those seeking a fully online program should visit the Continuing Education Admissions website for application information specific to adult learners.

• If you have completed or are in the process of completing at least 12 credits by the time you enroll at ������ý����, please follow the steps to apply as a transfer student below.
• If you have completed or are in the process of completing fewer than 12 credits by the time that you enroll at ������ý����, please follow the steps to apply as a first-year.

Application deadlines

*To be considered for the Fall 2026 Transfer Trustee Scholarship, you must apply by February 1st, 2027. Note, Transfer Trustee applicants must be graduating from a community college in the Spring or Summer with at least 60 credits immediately prior to the Fall semester they plan to attend, with no gaps in time. 

*Applications are still being accepted on a rolling, space-available basis. 

To be considered for ������ý����'s EOP program, please review the eligibility and application process. NOTE: Admission into the EOP Program as an accepted transfer student is not guaranteed. Availability is limited. 

Scholarship eligibility is determined at the same time we review your complete application. ������ý���� practices rolling admissions; once your application is complete, you will be notified of your decision. We encourage students to apply by the preferred deadline. However, we will still consider applications submitted after these dates and will continue to award scholarships to eligible students.

Deposit deadline: Students admitted after the deadlines posted above should deposit within two weeks of the date of their letter of admission.

Application review

������ý���� welcomes students with a variety of academic backgrounds. When reviewing an application for admission, the Admission Office takes a holistic approach by assessing your academic performance, your admission essay, recommendation letters, and out-of-classroom experiences. Any electronic documents, please send to admtranscripts@rider.edu.You can follow the status of your application and receipt of required credentials on your "Be-A-Bronc Applicant Dashboard". Once the committee has reviewed the entirety of the student's academic experience, an admission decision will be made.
